Shirley Temple Glassware
Child star Shirley Temple was a favorite of the
public during the 1930's, so it's only natural that General Mills
chose her image to help promote some of their products. A
pitcher, child's mug and cereal bowl that had Shirley Temple's
image on them were popular premiums. These items were
displayed in the grocery store and were free with the purchase of
a large box of Bisquick.
From ad:
'Exquisitely
fashioned from Sapphire Blue "scalloped" glass --with
the actual photograph of "America's Idol," Shirley
Temple, right in the glass.' |
